Welcome to The Writers’ Den!

I’m your host, Miranda Miller, and I’ve been writing for fun and money for over 20 years.

On top of being a writer myself, I’ve spent many years as an agency owner and editor hiring, coaching, developing and managing all kinds of writing pros, from business news reporters and columnists to marketing content copywriters.

Today, I get a ton of questions from friends and online contacts about how to get started as a writer, where to find the best writing jobs and clients, and how to fit building a writing business into an already-packed schedule.

The Writers’ Den is part toolkit, part roadmap, with a healthy helping of cheerleading and motivation.

My goal is to help cut your learning curve, so you can succeed as a freelance or independent writer without having to learn every lesson the hard way (as I did oh-so-many-times).

Subscribe to get my quick tips for sharpening your writing skills, mastering the business, and unlocking better opportunities—all in just a few minutes a day.

Full subscribers get access to more detailed and in-depth content each day, as well as access to everything in my Archives as long as you’re a subscriber. I’ve tried to make this simple to navigate, so you can easily drill down into exactly what it is you need to solve your current challenge, whether that’s:

Whether you’re brand new and hoping to develop a talent or specialization into a writing career, or already an established freelancer wanting to mature your business from a feast-or-famine roller coaster of contract work to a sustainable income, I hope you’ll find what you need in The Writers’ Den!
